The Orthopaedic World Congress 2026 will take place in Kyoto, Japan, from 29 September to 1 October 2026, bringing together orthopaedic professionals from around the world under the theme “A Bridge to the Future.” The Congress will explore the intersection of traditional surgical principles and emerging innovations such as robotics, regenerative medicine, artificial intelligence, and personalised care. Set in the historic city of Kyoto, the event will feature keynote lectures, interactive symposia, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities designed to encourage collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of musculoskeletal health worldwide.

SICOT CONECT is an initiative designed to strengthen collaboration within the global orthopaedic community. This platform fosters meaningful connections among subspecialized surgeons, supporting professional growth and collaboration.

Within our Board of Subspecialties (BOSS), each subspecialty committee includes 17 active members. With SICOT CONECT, we aim to expand this network, creating a Community of Practice that includes all SICOT members with an interest in a particular subspecialty.

SICOT PIONEER is part of the SICOT Education Academy’s digital learning platform, created to advance global orthopaedic education through innovative online initiatives. SICOT fellowships are hosted in a range of countries, including Germany, India, the United States, Egypt, and others, and cover a variety of subspecialties and surgical procedures. Selected candidates undertake placements ranging from two weeks to one year, during which they can further develop their skills through observation and hands-on experience alongside leading orthopaedic surgeons.

Please ensure that the call for applications is open before submitting your application. Only one application per fellow per year is permitted.

Applicants must be SICOT members in good standing, with membership dues paid for at least the preceding two years. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be eligible.

SICOT members who have already been awarded a SICOT fellowship in the current or previous year are not eligible to apply for any Fellowship Programme.
